This time we were able to see Gwyne and Dal bond a little. During their journey, in order to protect themselves in their way from the acid rain and after getting attacked by thorny tendrils, they seek refuge under the Klingon vessel. The previous episode saw Starfleet vessel colliding in the Delta Quadrant making it necessary of Dal to find way to Protostar but gets informed by Hologram Janeway that the Protostar crashed somewhere ten kilometers from the vessel and the group goes on towards it. Meanwhile, as we saw Drednok and Diviner explode in the earlier episode, it is uncertain what the future holds for them in the next episodes. Robert Beltran, who played Chakotay, announced he is joining the animated series at a Star Trek: Voyager panel. Along with Mulgrew, another Voyager icon will be joining Prodigy's ranks. However, in Prodigy, Janeway serves as the starship's built-in emergency training hologram. Star Trek fans were also delighted to learn that Kate Mulgrew will reprise her iconic role as Kathryn Janeway from Voyager. Lastly, Dee Bradley Baker, known for his extensive voice-over work in American Dad!, SpongeBob SquarePants and multiple Star Wars series, rounds out the rag-tag group as Murf, an unusual yet endearing blob with an "insatiable appetite for ship parts." Ella Purnell voices Gwyn, a 17-year-old Vau N'Akat seeking the ultimate adventure. Jason Mantzoukas plays Jankom Pog, a teenage Tellarite known for his argumentive nature.
